How strategic and intentional are the actions of every person on your team?

A strategic plan is a roadmap to grow your business, whether you're growing careers, revenue, or impact (or all three).

Through our Roadmap Rules process, we help companies and entrepreneurs define a vision for their organization and a concrete, practical plan to follow through.

We serve as strategic thought partners and facilitators to help your team step out of the day-to-day "whirlwind" and envision the big picture.  Specifically, companies ask us to help them in two ways:

Annual Strategic Business Planning

Our facilitators and consultants completely customize a 2-3 day planning workshop based on your organization's objectives, needs, and culture.

In these workshops, we help organizations and teams align their answers to three key questions:

  1. Where are we now?
  2. Where do we want to go?
  3. How are we going to get where we want to go?

The workshop concludes with defined objectives for the coming year and capstone presentations by the business unit leaders in which their implementation plans are presented and evaluated.

Business Plan Training

The TLS-T3® Business Plan Training is a Lean process designed to help small business owners and business unit managers in large organizations develop simple, strategic plans for their organizations.  This program is based on the “do only what we’ll use” principle, making plans concise, scalable, and building in the flexibility for regularly review and adjustment.

As a result, participants are able to:

  1. Complete and compile formal business plans.
  2. Conduct analyses of market segments and the competitive market landscape.
  3. Execute on their business plan by creating actions plans and routinely reviewing and revising their business plans.
  4. Create and present a professional presentation of their business plans.

There are two primary phases of the TLS-T3® Business Plan Training:

  1. Business Plan Training & Coaching:  In this phase, we walk each trainee through the process of business plan creation.  This training takes place over several days (depending on the determined objectives) and we integrate 1-on-1 discussions with each trainee to guage his/her understanding of the content and process.Trainees learn to create all the major components of successful business plans.
    1. Internal & External Analysis
    2. Strategies & Strategic Observations (from the Analysis phase)
    3. Objectives
    4. Action Plans
    5. Financial Plans
  2. Review & Revision Cycle:  In this second phase, we teach your leaders how to regularly review and revise their business plans so they are "living documents", rather than archives of ambitions.  This Review & Revision Cycle spans 18-24 months, and includes a mid-point training refresher to re-cap key content.
